Simple by design

Three steps between
uncertainty and clarity.

No dense databases. No hunting through government pages. Just a faster way to find the recall details that matter.

Enter identifiers

Search by product, brand, UPC, lot, batch, date code, model, or VIN.

Match, don’t just search

Exact codes take priority; fuzzy brand and product matches identify notices that need more detail.

Find the identifying details

The code is often the deciding factor.

A matching product name alone is rarely enough. Compare every identifier shown in the official notice.

An informed match, not a safety guarantee.

RecallGuard organizes recall information from official sources to help identify products that may be affected. Always verify product identifiers and follow instructions in the original notice. No matching recall does not prove that a product is safe.

Questions, answered

Before you scan.

How does RecallGuard check a product?+

Enter a product, brand, UPC, lot, batch, model, VIN, or date code. RecallGuard prefers exact identifier matches and uses product-name matching to find notices that may require more information.

Can RecallGuard find different types of recalls?+

The service architecture supports FDA, USDA FSIS, CPSC, and NHTSA sources, while preserving the source type and original government record.

Does a clear result guarantee a product is safe?+

No. Recall data can be delayed, incomplete, or difficult to match. Always inspect the package, lot code, expiration date, and the full official recall notice before making a safety decision.

Can I watch a product for future recalls?+

Yes. After a search with no current match, choose Watch this product for future recalls and allow browser notifications. RecallGuard will automatically send a Firebase push alert when a new or updated official recall may match your saved product or identifier.
