About ScanRecalls

How ScanRecalls helps you compare products and identifiers with official recall notices, and how to contact the service.

Identify the item you own

ScanRecalls is an independent product recall information service. It brings official notices into searchable product records so you can compare a brand, barcode, model, lot, batch or date with your own item.

Our website organizes notices for the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. Coverage differs by country, product category and source. See our data sources for the configured imports and their limitations.

Who publishes this information?

Recall pages are published by ScanRecalls using automated extraction and quality checks. The government agency or manufacturer linked on each page is the source of the recall facts. ScanRecalls is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a replacement for those authorities.

For questions about the service or a published record, contact support@scanrecalls.com. You can also use our correction process.

What a match means

An exact identifier match connects a code you entered with a code in an indexed notice. You must still compare every restriction in the original notice, including dates, package sizes, variants and country. A product-name match is a starting point for that comparison.

A search with no matches is not evidence that the item is safe. Some recalls omit barcodes, describe identifier ranges, or are not yet available in our index.
