Why this product was recalled
in the battery electric vehicle control unit (BEV ECU) could cause the electric drive system to shut down while driving. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Toyota advises that you should limit the vehicle's maximum state of charge to no more than 80% until the recall repairs have been completed.
