Delete your account

You can permanently delete your ScanRecalls account and associated cloud data directly in the mobile app. If you cannot access the app, submit an external deletion request below.

Fastest option

Delete your account in ScanRecalls

  1. Open the ScanRecalls mobile app.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Delete account and data.
  4. Review the notice and confirm Delete account.

Deletion begins immediately after confirmation. An account that owns a shared family must remove its other family members first.

We may ask for limited additional information to verify that the account belongs to you. Never send a password, verification code, Apple credential, Google credential, or payment-card information. Anonymous accounts may be impossible to identify externally if they were never linked to an email address.

02

What is deleted

Account deletion removes the ScanRecalls Firebase account and the cloud data associated with it, including:

  • monitored products, barcode identifiers, monitoring status, and country preferences;
  • optional product photos uploaded to ScanRecalls;
  • recall matches, in-app notifications, and notification delivery registrations;
  • device tokens and saved cloud preferences; and
  • family membership data associated with the account.

Deleting the account cannot be undone. Data stored only on the device may remain until the app is removed or its local storage is cleared.

03

What may be retained

Limited records may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcing agreements. App-store purchase and subscription records are controlled by Google Play or Apple and may remain under their policies and legal obligations.
